H. ‘Andrew’ (H. Hansen – 2006)

Hosta ‘Andrew’ is a striking tricolor perennial featuring thick blue-green margins, a feathery white center, and distinct green jetting patterns. It grows 21 inches tall and 32 inches wide, producing pale lavender flowers in early summer. It is a sport of ‘Blue Mammoth’. The winner receives three divisions of a mature plant.

H. ‘Spooky Scary Skeletons’ OS (N. Ternes, Botanophilia LLC – 2026)

Registered as a sport of another Halloween-themed variety, Hosta ‘Grim Grinning Ghost’. Foliage emerges with green margins and white centers and slowly turns green through the season. Fast growth rate. Limited availability for this Originator Stock plant.

H. ‘Tattoo’ (T. Avent – 1998)

‘Tattoo’ is a unique, small-to-miniature perennial hybrid introduced in 1998. It features bright gold or chartreuse rounded leaves with a light green margin and a distinct dark green, maple-leaf-shaped marking in the center that looks like a “tattoo”.

H. ‘Gulf of Mexico’ OS (M. Rekoske – 2025)

This Originator Stock Hosta has had very limited release, only found in four gardens. ‘Gulf of Mexico’ was registered in 2025 by Mark Rekoske. It is a dense unruly mound of blue green, closely spaced, heavily corrugated and cupped leaves. It is a large plant with a moderately fast growth rate.

H. ‘Marilyn Monroe’ Streaked

This streaked ‘Marilyn Monroe’ is a striking medium-sized hosta featuring wavy, ruffled “piecrust” green leaves with dramatic, waxy-white powder undersides and contrasting reddish-purple stems. It grows 12 to 17 inches tall and spreads about 24 to 36 inches wide, producing lavender flowers on reddish scapes. A rare plant that retains its streaking.

H. ‘Country Corn’ OS (K. Dye – 2017)

‘Country Corn’ is a large golden slug resistant hosta that shows off more gold color in increased sunlight. This originator stock plant is not available in the marketplace. It is a hybrid of unknown parentage registered in 2017

H. ‘Galaxy’s Ring’ OS (O. Purvis – NR)

‘Galaxy’s Ring’ is a rare, stable edged sport of the famous streaked breeder Hosta ‘Galaxy’ introduced by plant hybridizer Owen Purvis. It is an uncommon “very limited release” that features distinctive leaf variegation derived from its legendary parent lineage. Obtained at auction. Only two are known to have been released.

H. ‘Continental Divide’ (O. Petryszyn & M. Groothuis – 2008)

Giant vase-shaped hosta with intense tri-colored leaves. Gold centers in spring will lighten to almost white and are bordered by a dark green rippled margin. There is a distinctive third lighter green color where the leaf center and margin overlap. Deep ribbing and a ruffled edge add to the beauty of this hosta named for the state of Colorado and the beautiful green colors of the lichens you see up high at the divide. ‘Continental Divide’ has proven to be hard to achieve through the tissue culture process and is very hard to find. New Hampshire Hostas was fortunate to acquire some. A slow grower for us but is well worth the wait! Hybrid of H. ‘Dorothy Benedict’ x (H. ‘Elatior’ x H. ‘Niagara Falls’).

H. ‘Spilt Milk’ (M. Seaver – 1999)

Hosta ‘Spilt Milk’ is a unique hosta with streaky leaves. Heart-shaped blue-green leaves that look like they’ve had white paint (or Milk) splashed over them. Hosta ‘Spilt Milk’ is easily distinguished in the garden and always admired! Thick leaves for great slug resistance. White flowers mid-summer. Winner receives the plant grown in a 4.5″ pot.

H. ‘Catcher’s Mitt’ (D. Rawson – NR)

One of the most anticipated plants developed by Don Rawson! Deeply cupped leaves truly resemble green catcher’s mitts. Moderate corrugation and white leaf backs. Leaves are thick and stiff. The winner receives this plant grown in a one quart size pot
